Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

The learning curve for Lucidchart is quite low compared to the other SaaS products out there. And the reason in my opinion is because the interface is built based on the standard professional softwares like Microsoft Office and Google Docs. So nothing feels misplaced - and with the inbuilt search ability, I find features quickly.
After working in Whimsical, we settled on Lucidchart because of the all in one, high-level professional tool experience we got from it. We were able to create and 'continuously iterate' on flowcharts without having to worry about losing the structure. Previous tools like Whimsical felt simple at the start but when we came back to iterate on the flow, it became a big hassle because tooling is inadequate and we could not get deep control over each part of the flowchart. Lucidchart has helped us focus on ideation and creating detailed flows and maps. In a nutshell it's an extremely precise tool for building flowcharts and we haven't found anything better than it.
  • Ability to keep iterating
  • Deep control over every part of drawing
  • Automatically connecting flowchart arrows
  • Typography control
  • Infinite canvas
  • Layers and Pages
  • Export as EPS
  • More Keyboard Shortcuts
  • Use of Animation to Present Flowcharts
  • Improved Team Collaboration
  • Time to Deliver Project Reduced
  • Increased Work Output Per Session
We haven't integrated Lucidchart with other applications yet, but Slack integration is the first integration we're going to go for. Having the ability to connect with Slack makes the process much easier. Zapier is the next things I will hop on because I would want to automate communication and updates with clients as our work in Lucidchart progresses.
We did not need to contact Lucidchart support until now, but we are sure they are going to be as good as we have found the software to be.

Iterations. We were not able to iterate on our previous work in Whimsical. We had used it for a couple of projects but the inability to quickly make changes in the flowcharts, it put a negative effect on our productivity creativity. Also there are some annoying bugs in Whimsical that made our experience worse. Although Creatly and Miro great tools, they lack precise control tools like Lucidchart.
I think Lucidchart is the absolute best for creating flowcharts. The UX and Product Design teams would find it incredibly precise with deep controls. We've used it to create Service Design flows and have been able to come back and build upon previous versions. With the ability to export as PDF, we were able to get print-ready versions of our flows and that has made our workflow so much better.
