Lucidchart makes technical writing easy even if you're not very technical

Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

Lucidchart deserves a score of 9 for being easy to use. Good UI / UX design as the taskbar is quite consistent with Word and Google Docs, and features such as zooming, dragging, or grouping items are the same as standard practices. On the other hand, one downside would be the lack of tables and the ability to insert videos.
Lucidchart is used across the whole organization to sketch and link various bits of info into a neat and presentable style. It addresses the difficulty of discussing and presenting info while working virtually by allowing info to be easily sketched up and shared with other team members. Easy to use and saves time.

Pros

  • Good UX/UI, easy to use
  • Good consistency by being able to duplicate sheets
  • Able to export in multiple formats

Cons

  • Would be helpful if videos could be inserted
  • Would be helpful if tables could be inserted
  • English spellcheck would be helpful
  • Saved time from trying to use Word to sketch charts
  • Shorter meeting time since the sketches can be edited and shared anytime
  • Better collaboration while working virtually
  • Can produce ad hoc documents rapidly
This is beneficial to my org as it is using Salesforce and Google extensively. Being integrated makes it much more convenient and faster to be able to use Lucidchart with all the other apps.
I give full support for Lucidchart, as it is the most complete and easiest to learn app out there which is relevant for my work. Writing up presentations and documentation has been much more convenient and I look forward to Lucidchart acting on some of my improvement suggestions such as enabling tables and video uploads.

Compared to Microsoft Word, Lucidchart is much easier and more complete in sketching charts.
Google Drive, Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued), Microsoft Teams
Well suited when it is used in conjunction with Word to sketch charts or diagrams with more options and flexibility. Well suited when using it during informal meetings or group discussions being held virtually to share info. Less appropriate for formal presentations especially if the target audience is less tech-savvy and is expected to use it.
