We utilize Marketo (connected to Salesforce) for recruitment across all student types at our university.
Pros
- Marketo makes automation simple.
- Marketo is as powerful as your database (Salesforce).
- In Marketo, you can do ANYTHING you can possibly think of.
Cons
- Marketo is web-based and sometimes buggy - this has never affected a production issue, but is just a slight annoyance
- Marketo automated what were incredibly laborious manual communication chores
- We elevated and automated all of our recruitment communications.
We wanted the ability to send to paid lists, and this capability alone removed many alternative providers from competition altogether.
