Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I have used Miro for several projects, but mainly to collaborate on project development and communication. Miro is an incredible software that can be used for many purposes: it is a platform for gathering and sharing information and ideas. One can both generate new written and visual content, and link resources from various media (videos, images, websites). It is great for quick content production, but also iteration and transformation. One can create, add, transform and delete rapidly and easily. Just as importantly, Miro helps make connections amongst individual elements and structure content. Miro has also been helpful in showcasing ideas to others, and, in some cases, weaving in collaborators' insights into the design (through access to the tool). Having a visual, intuitive, and free tool to gather knowledge and create together with others has been a huge asset.
  • Generate content.
  • Structure content.
  • Showcase content.
  • Promote discussions and fluid design iteration.
  • Create beautiful visual content quickly.
  • Facilitate collaboration.
  • Easily move content from one board to another.
  • Add audible content.
  • Change transparency levels of certain visual content.
  • Share self-generated colours amongst collaborators.
  • Quicker project iteration.
  • Integration of a multiplicity of visual and written content onto one board.
  • More intuitive project making.
  • Worse content delivery however, at times, due to navigation of board function needing improvement, or better/new training needed to present Miro content.
Play with it, get to know the tool, but don't worry about lack of expertise with visual content: it's intuitive and fun!
It's so easy to use! I do have a design background which might have helped...but I did see others also using it rather easily, even without a visual background. Some functions take a bit of time to understand, but overall it is amongst the easiest software I have seen to create sophisticated and beautiful visual content.
It has been wonderful! We truly appreciate being able to collaborate using Miro. I have used it to collaborate with one other person, and with 50. I have also had boards shared with me and quite rapidly grasped the content with little explanation.

With Miro, it is easy to have information of all kinds all in one place. I can also easily link up specific online app pages if need be on the same board as the rest of the content. It is also helpful in bringing not only elements I and my team create but links/elements that others have generated.
It's great to quickly whip out an idea, share, and get feedback/to collaborate with others. Also amazing to quickly switch between analog and online media, I have used Miro in creating boards that I then project on walls, helping create what is called in Systems Oriented Design "Rich Design Space." I have found Miro especially challenging, however, when it comes to going from project iteration to presentation. While the content is rich and easily aesthetic, progress still needs to be made in the presentation functions.
