Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Primarily used for whiteboarding sessions, workshops, and creating process workflows & flowcharts. Used in all areas of our startup (Design, content, engineering, UX/UI, Venture, Talent), and allows us to spin up ideas and create new, more efficient processes rapidly and collaboratively in a way that is intuitive, easy to use, and visually appealing.

Pros

  • Easy to share with colleagues, great for working collaboratively.
  • Great UI that is quick to learn.
  • Great templates that are actually useful.

Cons

  • Sometimes some issues scaling things up or down; text should scale with the boxes they are contained in.
  • Allowed us to pivot quickly by using the collaboration features to do large-scale feedback workshops.
Easy collaboration is one of Miro's strongest features, and I have found it useful both in an office and remote context.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Most similar to OneNote in terms of functionality, but much more lightweight and less clunky, with much better UI and templates but perhaps slightly fewer features. The notion is much better for quick note/meeting minute-taking but lacks the unstructured formatting style of Miro that allows it to be used more dynamically.
Most suited for work environments that undergo rapid iteration and are sprint based. Good for dynamic start-up-based businesses rather than larger, more established companies. The good starting point for sketching out initial ideas before moving to more heavyweight software. Less suited for keeping track of tasks/organization. Trello, Monday, or notion would all be better suited for this.
