Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

  • Significant time savings.
  • Improved confidence that items are being completed and not missed.
  • "One-Stop-Shop" - it increases team efficiency in finding what they need.
  • Automations ensure reminders are dealt with and tasks started on time.
We purchased monday.com initially for a specific department, with the idea it might expand. At one year in, we have the entire company using monday.com for at least a single purpose, and most use it for multiple reasons. The primary use is for project management. We typically have a few dozen client-facing projects occurring at a time, and monday.com allows us to keep up with project details and include the clients as guests on the appropriate boards. Internally, we are using it for workload management, to manage a variety of internal projects, and we have recently started using it for HR functions such as tracking recruitment, vacation requests, etc.
  • Project management with clients/non-employees - when we were reviewing options, we knew we needed a system that would allow a large number of clients to interact. The Guest feature allows us to incorporate clients into their project without incurring huge license fees for users.
  • Workload management - it has given us a way to visualize how much work each team member has over time and makes it easy to redistribute tasks.
  • Adding features - the rollout of new features is done at a good pace, the training materials are clear and timely, and it's easy to turn Beta items on and off.
  • I'd like a way to create a repeating calendar item that is represented with a single item, rather than having to create multiple items, one for each date.
We were able to dive in on day one building custom templates. The automations "recipes" are very intuitive and nearly infinitely flexible. To be fair, we're a software company that also builds a customizable product, so I think our team members already have the skill set to succeed in this type of software.
My team members are always praising their support experience with Monday.com. They get timely responses and the help they need.
We have had very rare occasions when monday.com has gone "down" or has been slow to perform. Nothing that has actually hindered our ability to be effective and certainly nothing that would change my mind to look at anything else.

monday.com is great for a team that is managing multiple projects, in particular if there are outward facing pieces for clients to interact with. You do need to have at least one team member who is "fluent" in monday.com features in order to take advantage of it, and I'd recommend doing a regular review of new features, as there's always something new that might be able to replace an old workaround.
