Overall Satisfaction with Moosend
Moosend is used by the marketing department to send email marketing campaigns to clients and prospects.
Pros
- Custom template formatting via drag and drop.
- Payment per email sent, as opposed to per subscriber.
Cons
- User interface/ease of use
- Template management
- Moosend is quite affordable (500,000 emails for $500), so it's easy to see an ROI. It only takes a few recipients converting to make a campaign worth the spend.
We use both Mailchimp and Moosend, and I prefer to use Mailchimp for most campaigns. As compared to Mailchimp, I think it is more difficult to manage lists on Moosend. It's also harder to preview past campaigns, review campaign performance, or manage saved templates for future use in Moosend. Mailchimp's customer service is also quicker and more thorough. Where Moosend performs better than Mailchimp is template layout customization. Once you choose a template layout (1-2-1 columns, etc.) in Mailchimp, you cannot change midway or alter it in any way. Moosend allows you to do whatever you want with your columns as you go. It's also easier to adjust images and block sizes in Moosend.
