Overall Satisfaction with OneDrive
OneDrive is being used company wide. We aren't a big company, so needed something simple to implement and easy to manage. OneDrive allows us to back up important files and know that they are secure. We don't have an IT department, so really needed a solution that didn't require specific IT expertise to implement and maintain. OneDrive is our backup and it works especially well with Windows machines.
- OneDrive is super easy to implement.
- OneDrive doesn't require any specific technical expertise to use it.
- I can't speak to larger organization use cases, so don't know how well OneDrive would work for larger orgs.
- OneDrive does seem more localized, so I really view it as a tool I use with my files.
- I can't really say it has had an impact on ROI. Backup is like insurance, it will be valuable if you ever need it, but hard to find ROI if you never use it.
OneDrive was a perfect fit for our use case. Sharepoint was too robust and complicated, Dropbox too simple. Not an Apple shop fo iCloud was out. Not a Google shop, so less appealing. OneDrive fit the bill perfectly.
