Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company is a small one, so we rely upon automation to make the best use of our time. Paychex Flex makes running payroll easy and accurate, and we rely upon Paychex Flex to generate all of the reports and filings we need. While the various changes in the interface have been a little frustrating, as has the continual change of Paychex representatives, the software undoubtedly saves us time and prevents clerical errors in reporting, and has been an asset to us.

I did not research other tools. I did talk with a couple of local accountants, and they were more difficult to use and more expensive.

Again, it's fast and easy for routine matters, but when specialized inquiries need to be made it can be a real challenge.

[With Paychex Flex], the production of routine reports is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it. But when questions arise from governmental agencies it can be very difficult to round up the information that's needed. I've had to resort to creating spreadsheets and copying data from reports to the spreadsheets - and that's not ideal.

Easy for the routine stuff. Not so much for custom data requests.
