Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Our organization uses Paychex Flex for payroll, time off accrual management, and we have just opted to use Paychex for health insurance benefits/cobra.

  • Paychex Flex provides excellent customer support and service when needed.
  • We have not identified any areas for improvement with Paychex Flex, it meets all of our current needs.

I have not used the reporting
In every case where I have needed assistance, I am able to easily reach the right representative and get the appropriate assistance quickly.
In a previous role, I was an employee that experienced an ADP enterprise rollout that was prolonged and difficult. When I was in a position to research alternatives for payroll for this organization, I reviewed several options including ADP, and found Paychex to offer the most comprehensive, easy-to-implement solutions.

Paychex has continually improved the user interface, offers quick reports and the ability to obtain custom reports, it is easy to use, and provides the total solution we need.
We started as a very small organization with 3 part-time employees and have now grown to over 10. Paychex Flex has offered us the right solutions at the right price as we have grown. Everything we have needed has been there when we needed it!

Relationship with Paychex, Inc.

Paychex is very proactive and structured. Their process of onboarding and migration seems to be designed for larger companies and was more structured than necessary for a smaller company like ours. Due to the complexity of their offerings, some information regarding additional free services was not addressed in the initial sign on, we were able to sign up afterwards but would have appreciated the information from the start.
Paychex is very responsive and supportive from the initial inquiry and post sale. We have found them to be a very good partner.
We were able to negotiate the initial activation fee and recurring fees.
Be prepared to spend more time than you counted on in the pre-sale process and post-implementation.

Evaluating Paychex Flex and Competitors

As a small company, we were very interested in a product that would grow with us and would be easy to use, completely secure, with a trusted vendor.
We considered 4 alternatives and narrowed down to two choices. If I had it to do again, I would have shortened the timeframe and limited the search to 3 alternatives. Overall, we found Paychex to be the most complete and robust solution.

Our organization recently migrated to the PEO offering with paychex and receives additional support. The transition went smoothly and we are pleased with the increased level of support.
We recently transitioned from using Paychex just for payroll to their PEO offering and unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding on our side, there was a delay processing the payroll just prior to the transition. When we contacted Paychex, they were prompt and efficient in resolving the matter to the satisfaction of our employees.

Yes - Employees report finding the mobile interface to be useful and helpful. Management does not use the mobile interface.
