Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Upgraded to Paychex Flex about one year ago. Use it for our semi-monthly payroll. All employees are signed up for direct deposit and can retrieve their own paystubs online, so we incur no fedex charges for check stubs or reports.

  • easy access to reports as needed
  • wish it would interact with our 401K provider at this level, without having to upgrade
  • I think employees cannot set up to have pay stub emailed automatically, that would be great
  • I was already using an earlier version of Paychex Flex since my hire date. No appreciable improvement in time required, a modest improvement in time to output reports.
Positively - Simple YTD by department or location to aid in budgeting and review of actual vs budget/forecasts
My dedicated rep is great, but often is not able to answer when I call and is slow to call back. When I get their recording, I call back and take the next available rep. Generally they are able to help me with my questions, but at times they have given me a work around instead of the right answer. People get paid correctly, but I have to call back the next payroll and get things revised once more

Primarily ease of use once I have learned how to use it. Goes quickly and without problems. Whenever I do have an unusual situation, I have always been able to get someone to assist me
It works great for me as currently all employees are salary so I am able to quickly initiate payroll each period. I have had part time hourly sometimes and it works well for them also, but the recurring salary is simple and quick
