Intuitive, Automated, and Supportive
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for all of our payroll, employee files, recruitment, benefits management, and HR needs. Paylocity serves as an all-in-one software, where accessing employee information and organizing everything we need to track can be simple. With four branches in four states, it can be difficult at times to track the benefits and payroll needs in each location. Paylocity gives us a space where we can onboard employees with ease, and get them into our payroll system as soon as possible. As a company administrator, I am required to understand the full scope of Paylocity's utilization, as well as assist others with their navigation of the platform.
Pros
- Onboarding
- Tax set-up
- Recruiting suite
Cons
- Time off management and requests
- Punch feature
- Supervisor and employee groups
- Reduced tax errors
- Better workforce visibility
- Improved engagement
The automated monthly review reminders have been very helpful with tracking and making sure managers can conduct reviews on time. This doesn't seem to be a common feature with other aspects of Paylocity. Payroll has been useful with automating time cards when it comes to time off requests, but the request process is not very consistent. For example, there is a clear issue with how HR & Payroll communicates with Time & Labor when it comes to time-off requests. The support tickets I've put in for this issue have gone unresolved for a few months now.
The employee engagement platforms such as Community has a good foundation, but it is hard to encourage employees to participate without it being viewed as just another social media platform. We have been able to do surveys through Paylocity but it can be hard to access current surveys and view results at times.
We used CompuPay before Paylocity and Paylocity is vastly superior when it comes to tracking time, wages, and payroll. We used to have to read hours manually over the phone to a CompuPay representative and keep everything in physical binders to properly track the hours. With Paylocity being digital and largely intuitive, it cuts the labor needed for payroll by more than half.
