Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity as a one-stop shop for our employees. We include their position title, supervisor, reviewer, employment status, etc. in the Employment tab. We also use the Pay tab to define their salary/hourly wage, if they receive merit increases or bonuses, tax forms, tax set-up, and their pay set-up like HSA or 401k. We use the Benefits tab and launch our benefits enrollment each November. This is an easy way to have all the employee's information in one spot. For benefits, we include medical, dental, and vision, and many voluntary benefits like critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, and Pet insurance. We also use the Surveys tab to launch New Hire surveys and Exit surveys. A module that I specifically use the most is the On-boarding module. This is the best way to set up a new hire in the system and you can custom make the event packets that you will launch to the new hires to fill out. We are going to implement the Compensation module in a few months and are excited to use it.
- Having the Help button in the right corner with Knowledge Base. It allows me to search just about anything I have trouble with and learn new stuff about specific modules.
- Customization. You can basically set your company up however you would like. I use the Configuration - Company Set-up tab just about everyday to add/change things to make it our own.
- Timely responses. We are going through a merger and the implementation team has been a huge help. Even our Account Manager responds to any issues I have super quickly.
- As a super admin in Paylocity, I would like the ability to not just archive items, but delete them completely. We would like to clean-up the space and get rid of some of the default items we do not use.
- Not necessarily an issue, but for those people who have ever created an event packet in the on-boarding module know my struggle. It is not completely user friendly. I would like to see a preview of what the employee would see before launching the packets to new hires.
- Benefits. When I change a new hire in the system before they have elected their benefits, it takes at least 24 hours to show up and doesn't always allow them to launch their open enrollment.
- Definitely more consistent processes. Everything is very user friendly and it reduces the amount of time it has taken us in the past before we started using Paylocity. Everything flows super smoothly.
- We have an improved retention since we have used Paylocity. Before hand, many employees thought it was difficult to find anything like tax forms, pay stubs, benefit elections, etc. when we used other platforms before we implemented our data into Paylocity.
- Costs have been reduced and the decision-making process has improved and got quicker. Before Paylocity, it would take at least a week to get a salary increase approved, or a job title change approved. Now, it take less than a day and is super easy.
Paylocity's automation tools have had a positive affect on our business. Payroll is a place we struggled the most before having Paylocity. We would take at least 4 days to go through the Payroll report and make sure everything was correct and everyone was getting paid/deducted correctly. Now, we blow through it in less than a day and employee's (and HR) could not be happier.
Paylocity's employee engagement tools like the Community and Peer Recognition (Impressions) have had a huge impact on our business. Everyone loves the Community tool. It is a great way to connect with our fellow employees since we all do not work at the same building. We are all over the place, even in different states and countries. The impressions took is also amazing because it allows employees to give kudos to other employees when they have done a good job.
Paylocity is so much better than ADP and Paychex Flex. These platforms are much more difficult to navigate and do not even come close with providing things like Community. Their systems are more confusing then Paylocity and there is not as many modules to explore and implement. Paychex Flex does not offer nearly as many modules or tools and is very basic. While it gets the basic job done, we like to include more detailed information in our system and that system just did not allow us too.
