Overall Satisfaction with Planview AdaptiveWork

We use Planview AdaptiveWork for all of our Professional Services functions (Project Management, Project Execution, Capacity Planning, Reporting, etc.). We have integrated it with Pipedrive on the front end to enable streamlined demand intake. We have also integrated with our accounting system on the back end for integrated invoicing and billing.
  • Reporting
  • Capacity Planning
  • Slide Publisher
  • Project Templates
  • Project Work Plan assignments with Outlook (bi-directional)
  • Utilization reporting accessible to Team Member license
  • Time approvals should be routed to a queue for approvers vs. all available to Owners, Resource Managers and Admins
  • ~3 hour resource cost savings per project setup
  • Accuracy of data up 17%
Yes- our various team members love the customization.
Yes- we use dashboards and reports to track project metrics, resource capacity, utilization (billable and non-billable), and profitability. One of the major quantitive benefits we've experienced is the ability to use rate cards / roles to track true profit margins by department (ProServ, PMO, MS), geographical region, resource role, individual resource, individual sales rep, individual customer, and project.
Pipedrive, Namely and Quickbooks
The ability to develop pre-built project plan templates that correlate with our standard SOWs has enabled us to streamline our processes, and drive consistency across service engagements. We have even developed templatized billing milestones.

Slide publisher also streamlines things for us. We no longer have to leave our PSA system, and manually create and disseminate project artifacts. This also drives consistency across all service engagements.
Yes, templatized project plans, status reports and slide publisher templates allows us to make sure every internal and external project goes through the same lifecycle, has the same artifacts, and is managed consistently regardless of project type, project manager or technical resource.
We also evaluated Kantana. Ultimately decided on Planview AdaptiveWork because of cost, ease of GUI, ease of configuration, reporting capabilities and integration capabilities.

Very appropriate as an all encompassing professional services solution. Not as robust as other platforms, such as Smartsheet for example, for project management and collaboration with customers. However, we only have AdaptiveWork.
