We use Group series in any conference room scenario where video conferencing is required.

Director and producer both need advanced settings for setup. Not enough options for frame setup.

Alternatives Considered

Cisco and Lifesize Video Conferencing

With our investment in the RealPresence infrastructure it just makes sense to use a RealPresence endpoint. The other endpoints integrate with additional work, but the group series just work.

Any conferencing space where two way video conferencing is required can take advantage of a Group series. There are times when additional room integration with audio/video may be required for advanced use cases, but the Group series allows for that. There are more cost-effective methods for desktop conferencing such as RPD with a webcam, so I would not suggest a group series for a single person sitting at a desk.
