Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is being used by our whole company. We mainly use the Submittal, RFI, Meeting, and Drawings tools in Procore. We are starting to utilize the financial side of it now. It helps keeps the workers out in the field, up to date with the most current plans and also enables them to create an RFI on the spot or look up a submittal right on-site.
- Procore let's you have everything in one location, so you don't have to use different software for different functions.
- It allows the submittals to become a streamlined process. It also sends notifications to the appropriate party if they have a submittal overdue. Whether it's a subcontractor, you yourself, or the architect and/or engineer.
- The drawings tools also anyone on the project to see the most current set of plans. Thus eliminating re-work because work was done per the older set of plans.
- The specifications are basically just a PDF viewer. You can search per spec. section and for a certain word. But you can't yet edit just a paragraph or just a line that was changed via addendum or change order.
- The financials are slowly coming around but there are still certain things that don't go back and forth between Sage and Procore.
It has been very beneficial having the collaboration that Procore offers. It allows our on-site superintedent to create an RFI right on-site instead of having to call the Project manager and trying to relay his question he has. It eliminates any miscommunication that may happen. It also allows the owner to view progress from the photos or monitor the schedule, if they aren't from the area or aren't on-site all the time.
- Procore has saved time working on submittals. It has helped with keeping a subcontractor aware they still have submittals to submit.
Procore blows Sage Project Management out of the water with what it is capable of and ease of use.
