Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Our entire organization uses Procore for a wide variety of tasks. On my current project we use it for document organization, progress photos, and even tracking PCOs. These functions are just scratching the surface of Procore's capabilities. It addresses many business problems, and as we transition to using Procore exclusively, it will continue to help us.
  • Daily log function. This tab has so many useful features like inspection log, man power log, and delivery log that allows us to stay organized on a day to day basis.
  • Another strength is the drawings tab. The way Procore allows us to link enlarged drawings or elevation within actual drawing sheets themselves makes it easy to go from sheet to sheet.
  • One last strength is the overall visual appeal of Procore. Procore looks good and when we invite new subcontractors to use the software they are usually impressed with how clean and straight forward Procore is.
  • The photos tab could use some work. It is extremely hard to reorganize pictures based only on uploaded or taken date rather than having more flexibility to organize photos and albums.
  • The server is extremely slow once a week. At least once a week someone in my field office (we have 10 employees on site) complains about how Procore isn't working or is taking forever.
  • Procore can also improve upon their design by streamlining the specs section.
  • Procore project information does not go away once the job is closed out. If there are issues later on with a client all of the information from Procore is readily available for review.
I have only used Procore as my construction management software.
Procore probably isn't ideal for any type of residential construction. On large projects, documents drive the flow of work and Procore is terrific at making it extremely easy to put all of your documents in one place to keep track of them. However, in residential construction, documents are not as important as relationships. A large general contractor has much to gain from Procore, but smaller outfits probably don't need it.
