Overall Satisfaction with Procore

The Procore team worked with us to incorporate our contract, our wants and our needs. The team at Procore worked to make sure that our implementation went smooth and we were able to use the tools available immediately. Uploading our AIA contract since the architects had added verbiage was also extremely important to us.
The integration was fairly simple but we didn't integrate all the tools the program offered, such as Quickbooks integration. Our projects have multiple owners/entities so we have not tried to integrate the accounting through Quickbooks although we are using the budgeting and commitment and payment tools and those are working great for us. We are behind the 8-ball as our project broke ground prior to our purchase of Procore.
Currently we have 2 hotel projects under construction. We use Procore to coordinate drawings, specifications, documents, vendors, etc. We also have two upcoming projects (another hotel and a property improvement to our Holiday Inn) and we will also break ground on a free-standing restaurant later this year. Procore is how we keep our projects together, scheduled tasks, etc.
  • We are still in the learning stages and like most programs we do not utilize all the available tools.
  • We are currently learning to do the payments, budgets, etc. We really like the drawing section, the revision and the notation that you are working on the most up to date drawing available.
  • Manipulating the structure of who is responsible for approvals might be helpful. We struggled with this at first.
We have not taken advantage of these features. Thus far we are keeping Procore within our architects, construction team and sub-contractors. I am not sure the sub contractors take advantage of the tools through Procore as well as they should be. We also understand each project owner may have a program that the sub must learn and many just don't have the time for that learning curve.
  • We are too new to be able to provide this information. We believe we will recap a return on this investment over time, it was our sale point to the owner of our company.
  • I have a better peace of mind that things can be found when I am not available to answer phone calls.
My boss has used several, including quickbase and another - I can't recall the name. I have never used a product like this. My background is not construction, it is real estate and marketing and administrative so I am more on the creation side of this product for our projects and I maintain all the systems, drawings, documents, etc.
With 2 projects in the works and another one in the development state, one in the planning stage, and one in the city approval stage, Procore is excellent at helping keep all this together. It is getting increasingly difficult not to get confused as to which project vendors are bidding etc. I haven't come across a scenario where it doesn't work for us.
