Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Managing large scale solar installation projects. Document management and field reports are what we use Procore for most daily. It helps us provide consistent information to our team and subcontractors.
Pros
- Document management.
- Workflow.
- Daily logs and reporting.
Cons
- Customization.
- Unable to edit daily log template.
- Schedule integration.
- Quickbooks integration doesn't 'flow' both ways.
- Large investment up front, requiring a 'leap of faith' rather than testing it out first.
- Our document management is better because we know it will be all in one place.
- Using group function when sending submittals, alleviates people missing from emails.
Quickbooks -- It is difficult to remember where to input new vendors, customers, cost codes, etc. I think it should all be input into QB, then flow to Procore, as the accounting is done in QB.
Smartsheet -- Unable to fully integrate, need to download the schedule from Smartsheet, then upload to PC, which is clunky and not as accurate as live sync.

Our field staff is able to complete their logs and photos quicker with Procore. From the admin support side, I think as we are still learning the process and how best to streamline, it is a bit slower currently.
I have only used it a short time so far.
Procore seemed to be all-encompassing, whereas the others did one task really well, like document management or communications. Procore's training and resources were also appealing.
