Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We have switched to using Procore for our complete portfolio of in-field activities on job sites. Procore's cloud platform allows easier collaboration between our employees and stakeholders at other companies. We use it to share documents and communications between Sub's, Owners, and Engineers. Prior to using Procore, we were fighting with having silos of data in different applications. Procore allows us to centralize MOST of the data in one location.
  • Their mobiles apps are first class and rarely have issue.
  • They have first class webinar based training that is broken down by discipline.
  • Their workflows, once all is setup, are intuitive and easy to learn.
  • Most companies have heard of and use Procore, so it is rare we need to convince anyone to use it.
  • They only charge the main stakeholder of a job. Sub's and Owners can collaborate for free.
  • Their Superintendent focused features, such as field reports and RFI's, are smooth and easy to use.
  • The site is sometimes a bit slower than one would like.
  • If you are a high-volume GC, the pricing is "out of this world" compared to other solutions.
  • Their plan viewing is not as easy to use as one would like.
  • Reporting is quite hard to use when trying something other than standard template-type reports.
  • We have estimated that Procore saves 30-60 mins, per day, of on-site personnel's time in having an all-in-one app to input all their information.
  • Having Procore as our app of choice makes the organization look more professional in choosing what is the industry leader for cloud-based Project Management software.
  • ROI is a bit hard to determine as we have the saved hours and better visibility, but the cost vs. other applications is so much higher that metrics can sometimes come out with a mixed bag on whether a tangible ROI is achieved.
  • The internal user base likes having an application they are comfortable and familiar with.
We have integrated Acumatica ERP and Sensera Camera systems with Procore. The Acumatica integration has been a high time saver in not having to double enter a lot of data that is required in both systems. Sensera's connection into Procore has allowed us to present a more professional dashboard to both internal and external users in having the job site cameras visible through Procure.
Although Procore's daily log feature is very good and works quite well, it is not the fastest process, so we have not seen much impact from our previous daily log entry tool (hh2). The Procore workflow is quite good, and we have no issues with it, but it is not much different than other available systems.
As stated earlier in the positives, having Procore as our main software-based job site driver does allow us to recruit employees more easily. Prospective employees are often quite happy to see we are using Procore both from an angle of not needing to learn new software and having something they like using. We always list Procore in our employee hiring announcements.
Since Procore attempts to be an all-in-one solution, it comes with more capability than just about any other system we have seen or used. However, that does not always mean it is better. Using PlanGrid as an example, Procore's plan viewing is inferior to the more professional PlanGrid Product. We accepted and went with Procore knowing we were getting more collaboration but, in some cases, a product that was ok but not as stellar as some of the more specialized products available on the market.

Do you think Procore delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Procore's feature set?

Yes

Did Procore live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Procore go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Procore again?

Yes

Well Suited:
1) Procore is well suited for any GC-run construction job where collaboration between the GC and other stakeholders will be required.
2) Companies that want to integrate other applications into Procore will be happy with the many available apps that can integrate.
3) Because it is cloud-based, companies that have little to no in-house IT support will be happy with the need for no IT infrastructure.

Not well Suited:
1) Small GC's with limited budgets may find the pricing to be too high.
2) If a job is so small that most collaboration will happen internally, Procore is overkill.
