Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

We have been using QlikView for last 10 years and have 1000+ users and 100 dashboards, as some of our core systems are starting to move to AWS environment. We were looking for tool that can leverage existing solutions and data architecture that already exist and at the same time explore newer tool in market. Qlik Sense made perfect sense. Currently we are starting out with Qlik Sense with limited users to try it out. Qlik Sense connects to our main central database and allows us to explore key business KPI like Ontime Performance, Compliance and various scan activities. We really like mapping capabilities that allows us to visually explore analytics.
  • Easy to use, drag and drop capabilities.
  • Lots of visualization. More can be added from the market.
  • Easily scalable.
  • Implementation - We had a lot of challenges during our implementation and I wish we got a lot more help then what we received.
  • We are used to QlikView hence comparing QlikSense, it lacks on publisher components. The current method is not easy to schedule 100's of jobs in an organized manner, which is possible in QlikView.
  • We are very new to this so we have yet to realize cost savings, however, we do see huge potential.
Qlik Sense has better visuals then QlikView but QlikView provides better job scheduling and organizing capabilities. Qlik Sense has better ETL capabilities then Tableau and PowerBI.
Well suited for organizations that have multiple systems and requires manipulations. QlikSense has ETL scripting components built-in which allows you to extract, transform and save data in organized format. Great visualization. If you want to get started quickly at an enterprise level, it may not be possible to get it running quickly off the ground.
