Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Qlik Sense across the whole organization. We started with one department and have spread to all departments.

Qlik Sense has allowed us to increase the speed and ease of researching data within the company. We have been able to tie multiple data sources together that we were not able to do with our other software. This has allowed all of the data needed to be presented on one sheet.

Pros and Cons

Qlik Sense is very good at being able to tie data together from multiple data sources so that you can have everything you need in one place.
Qlik Sense is very good at displaying the data in a visual format that really draws your attention to it instead of just numbers and columns.
Qlik Sense gives you the ability to create apps that allows the users to drill down into the data to really find out answers to their detail questions.

Qlik Sense does not have the same capabilities as Qlik View. There are a lot of Qlik View functions that would be very useful in Qlik Sense.
Qlik Sense needs additional functions with Pivot Tables. We currently do not have the latest update which is supposed to have Pivot Table improvements.

Return on Investment

Qlik Sense has been able to show trends that were costing us money. With this data, we were able to make adjustments to our processes that reduced the cost.
We switched from our legacy software to a canned package but with Qlik Sense, we were not only able to consolidated both data sources but were also able to generate new reports without having to pay others to create them for us.
