Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

It is currently used within our procurement department. It's mainly focused on tracking projects, milestones, savings etc. It streamlined the business process within each group and improved the tracking mechanism.
  • User-friendly design, embedded timeline, and dashboard.
  • Powerful features like webhook, actions, etc.
  • Easy to train a colleague within a no code application environment.
  • Requires a basic understanding of a relational database and unique skills to launch the first app.
  • Basic training resources are strongly needed.
  • Not compelling in the market against other well-known application/database products.
Our group just started using QuickBase in 2016 and was able to build a successful engagement tracker to streamline some of the tracking processes that were handled in Excel before. In 2017, we were able to roll the program on other groups within our department and start building a unique and customized app for each group.
Archer is a good vendor risk management tool that tracks workflow process. I believe with the right personnel and developer, QuickBase can help achieve the similar functionalities.
Building out QuickBase doesn't always require an IT developer background or skills. As long as you have some basic database knowledge or receive the fundamental training from QuickBase, it can easily help you learn the first app within a couple of weeks.
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
We haven't been able to use QuickBase as an enterprise-wide application as there was limited exposure within the senior management or buy in from our counterpart. It will be a challenge to expand the use based on what we know and it will be helpful to understand the potential capabilities of this tool.
The first app that I built only took me three weeks and the process was fairly smooth as it was built based on an existing app template and I was able to open a user case to fix the issues as I build the app. Tech support from QuickBase is really a key to successfully and quickly launch the app.
When our manager asked for a dynamic timeline, I happened to find out there is an existing timeline function within QuickBase that can be easily deployed and demonstrated it (with a readable chart) to other management members.
