Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT

Raiser's Edge (RE) NXT is used by our development and program staff at our nonprofit. It allows all users easy access to constituent information in an easy to understand format.
  • RE NXT makes it easy to find constituents and see their giving history at a glance.
  • The system-added tags are very interesting and useful for people trying to get an idea of a constituent's history/activity..
  • The star system of rating constituents is useful to quickly see a constituent's wealth/activity.
  • I would like to be able to access queries from Raiser's Edge 7 to allow for more sophisticated list-building
  • Thank you for adding the ability to update contact info in RE NXT!

RE NXT has been in use for less than a year, and we have had some staff turnover in that time, so it is impossible to say at this point if we have achieved those goals, but I am pleased with the product and believe that we will achieve more as the staff becomes more comfortable and begins to use more functionality.
Blackbaud's engineers and product staff are very effective at knowing what non-profits need and designing solutions to meet those needs. Their customer support staff is very responsive and knowledgeable. Trainings and webinars provided are always helpful and contain lots of great ideas.
I evaluated many companies when we made the decision to purchase RE NXT. I felt very comfortable with Blackbaud's overall knowledge of the non-profit sector and the range of solutions they provide.
It is similar to other sales software, so our development staff who have worked in sales really likes it. If your staff is very database savvy, it may be too simplistic or not provide enough detail for those people, and if your staff prefers to work on paper, it may not work for them. Those who appreciate an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly system that allows users access to data and action tracking will love it.
