Rubrik is being used as the underlying hyper-converged backup solution for a large scale service provider grade deployment.
- Scales out linearly and predictably with no limitations.
- Management of backups and policies are aligned with service provider requirements.
- Support of application-aware backups increases exponentially.
- Fantastic API for integrations with Dynamic Documentation (Swagger).
- Support team is alert and proactive.
- Very low administrative overhead.
- Live mount is very fast and consistent.
- Source remote clusters require static IP Addresses (destination pulls data as opposed to push).
- Exchange DAG is not supported natively!
- AWS integration is limited.
- Decreased administrative overhead for managing backup and DR.
- Increased the scalability of the backup solution to support growing business operations.
- Decreased the complexity of managing multi-technology environments.
Rubrik has the simplest and the most scalable solution to large scale backups with provable linear performance. Software-defined solutions increase dependencies and older technologies do not use true incremental backups. The ability to stack Rubrik appliances up, at 2 RU each, with a maximum real local capacity of up to 75TB per unit, plus deduplication and compression that requires no administration, is really unbelievable.
