Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

It is being used as the main accounting system for our software division.
  • We acquired this system because of how it handles SAAS contracts, where we can easily amortize revenue and expense schedules when contracts are set up.
  • It still has to improve on how the system handles contracts that end prematurely and what is done with the deferred revenue that has still to be amortized.
  • It should offer capabilities to accrue PTO and similar benefits to employees and better track time keeping for employees.
  • Better integration of the contracts module with other modules (IE - Collections)
  • It has eased the process of our billing and revenue processes but the dashboards have yet to be improved to help with forecasting and reporting.
Yes we have - with the option to reverse journal entries on specified dates.
We use the time and expense module for expense reports which work fine, and the contract revenue management module as well
We found that the contracts module was poorly or insufficiently integrated with the other modules.
It is well suited for companies with basic accounting needs and SAAS companies as well. But it has to improve on all of the facets and unique scenarios that come with SAAS contracts.
