Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
It's being used across the whole organization. It works very well for deferred revenues. I like the reporting capabilities but do not like some of the core of the system. I do not like that once cash is totally or partially applied, the invoice cannot be changed. Also, more importantly, when you make a change/cancel the deferred revenue contracts it takes the 'hit' in the current month instead of 'spreading' it over the contract life. Also, the system 'allows' journal entries to 'effect' the general ledgers which then doesn't make it to the subsidiary ledgers for AR, Deferred and AP.
- Revenue recognition
- Reporting
- Canceling deferred revenue contracts
- Allowing JEs to hit GL but not a subsidiary ledger
- Modifying invoices after partial cash collections
- Lack of APIs!
- Hard to capture. We were on 12 instances of a QuickBooks paying subscription $12k/year and we are at $56k/year.
We have not used these but are thinking about multi-currency since we are a global entity.
I have worked with QuickBooks, Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, and a few others. I would say as I would say in all ERPs that SAGE has its good, bad and ugly.
