Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct as our primary ERP. We use it for financial reporting and all journal entries, AP, AR, fixed assets, etc. Business problems it addresses - dimensions flexibility. For example, we use the 'class' dimension' to better track / categorize different expense types that are split amongst several different departments. We can run a report by class and see all associated expenses for a particular area without having to dig deep into each department's sub-P&L.
- Dimension tracking - e.g. locations, class, department.
- Ease of use in creating new accounts.
- Updating software quarterly based on customer feedback.
- [In my opinion] financial reporting capabilities and flexibility are beyond awful. Unless reports are completely vanilla, most companies will need to purchase a different SAAS solution if they wish to build their own reports with ease.
- Customer support for canned/generic questions is good, but unique/nuanced support is poor.
- [In my experience] automated bank feeds continue to fail and hasn't worked properly for months despite continued complaints (we use a major national bank, not a small unknown one).
- Cost is prohibitive given limitations noted above.
- Negative ROI - it cost more than our previous system and hasn't saved efficiencies.
We have attempted to utilize the automated bank feeds, but it continuously breaks down and [in my experience,] support from the Intacct team is poor and the sense of urgency nonexistent. We use a major national bank. For AR - it is convenient that there is a template that auto-creates invoices in the system - but tailoring those invoices (i.e. making Company information edits to) is cumbersome and loses the efficiency of the import template, to begin with.
