Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce.com

Our marketing team utilized SalesForce, in conjunction with the Sales Team to track our leads and determine our hot targets for marketing purposes. Together, our teams comprise approximately 25 individuals who all access the software on a daily basis. We often consulted the SalesForce contact lists for not only name and contact info but also truly appreciated the level of detailed notes it allowed, so that we could document real-time notes regarding each lead — where they came from, what their interests and pain points were, and best practice next steps.
  • Tracks hot/cold lead targets
  • Provides [the] ability to document detailed notes regarding engagement
  • Allows for multi-person team communication
  • Better integration with other automated software, including Mailchimp
  • Ability to send emails and create landing pages, similar to Hubspot
  • Positive ROI when considering the software costs vs ability to track leads
  • But it did require purchasing additional software to do all that we needed
We actually first utilized SalesForce and then integrated Hubspot as part of our process. The Sales Team really loved SalesForce, but mostly because they came to know how to utilize it. However, within the marketing team, we found that Hubspot met our more direct marketing needs because it allowed for landing page and email creation within the system.

Yes

Would you buy Salesforce Sales Cloud again?

No

While not the most robust software available for tracking and following up with leads, the UI is fairly straight forward and you know right away what you are getting and how to interact with it. While some initial training is required, it is still simple enough for most users to interact with it on a daily basis without feeling burdensome.
I did not often need to utilize [the] SalesForce support team as my usage level was basic, often consulting with the things I found in SalesForce with members of the Sales Team who entered the date for each lead. But the few times I did utilize the support staff, they were responsive and helpful!
SalesForce works well for teams that need a simple application to track leads. It also has a nicely designed mobile app for use on the go by our Sales Team. However, as previously noted, it is not a one-stop-shop like other CRMs out there, so consider if you want to utilize more than a single software application before purchasing.
