Overall Satisfaction with SAP Crystal Reports
We use Crystal Reports to integrate reporting with our advertising software. It is used across our company nationwide in our advertising departments. It allows us to create reports that all markets can use or custom reports for individual markets. We then load the reports into our advertising software that can then be used for multiple applications.
- I like the ability to use SQL queries as a data source.
- My users really like the cascading parameters that Crystal Reports allows.
- Crystal Reports is a fairly intuitive reporting platform.
- When moving an existing report to a different database connection the interface to do this not very user friendly.
- This may sound minor but it is a big deal for me. In the formula editor window I would like to be able to use my mouse's wheel to move up and down in the window (currently it doesn't recognize the mouse wheel).
MS Access is somewhat slow and harder to work with. I really like MS SQL Report Server and have been in a position to work with it quite a bit along with Crystal Reports. However, changes within our company made it impossible to use SQL Report Server and now I solely use Crystal Reports and QlikView.
