Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

HANA is used as the database for our BW (SAP Business Warehouse) system.

Pros

  • Performance of data loads and query is fast and speedy.
  • Storage requirements are much less than a traditional RDBMS.

Cons

  • Security management and sync with the user store.
  • Ability to query data faster leads to faster business decisions.
We have not used HANA in this capacity at this point in time.
This type of data capability is important since we capture and stream data and analyze it.
We have not used this capability at this point in time.
SAP HANA natively supports SAP products allowing for ease of use.
In general, SAP support can take longer than desired to get the help.
