Overall Satisfaction with SeekOut

We started using SeekOut as a way to gain a larger candidate pool for our company's sourcing effort. There are some pros to the use of the AI platform due to diversity sourcing filters and blocking photos of candidates, so we have an unbiased view, but the issues we are having is out of over 300 messages sent in the platform, only 9 people responded back, and all were not interested. Now, this could be an issue due to our present market, but 10% of these candidates didn't have accurate email addresses that were verified by SeekOut.

  • Geographical location search (ex: having the filter be 50 miles radius and we are getting candidates in other countries)
  • Not one candidate has been hired in our company using SeekOut
  • Other than providing diversity filters, they do not have set ethnicities for the tech industries like other AI companies do
  • SeekOut is extremely time-consuming due to the amount of searches you need in order to just have sent a message to 75 people. We have hard to fill roles with specific niches.
  • Costly for not getting anything more than LI profiles to message
  • They don't bring anything new to the table to have us stop using Recruiter Lite, Handshake, Indeed, or ZipRecruiter to source
Their support team doesn't seem to have that much more info than we do as users when asking questions.
We selected SeekOut as an extra level of sourcing and the intention was not to use LI anymore. They do not stack up because we are able to DM candidates, or they can message us asking questions, set up screens, send resumes, etc. You can not do that on SeekOut.

It is a larger-scale recruiting tool, but their location tools need to be better. If I am sourcing for a role in Los Angeles, I shouldn't be getting candidates located in India as a match when I am sourcing for a 50 miles radius. Also, to get their email addresses, it uses a credit, and the majority of the time, these are email addresses that bounce back or the person doesn't actively use. So the metrics look like it was sent because they will send an email to every single one listed as a match to that candidate. So if they have 7 email addresses, it will count as a reached email if even one of those are current. That doesn't mean the person replies.
