Overall Satisfaction with Skype

I use it for coaching and for my clients to learn content online. I am the sole owner of the business, I have no employees, I am the sole user, and I utilize it to contact clients via messaging and video calling and conduct group coaching on there as well. It helps solve geographical limitations with clients around the USA and the global marketplace. It is an excellent alternative to other platforms out there, as it is free and you just need a WiFi connection. I have found a lot of people like the Skype platform because it’s so simple and easy to use. It’s come a long way since it began and they keep adding more and more features that are helping me gain traction and gain new business. It’s a great tool to stay connected with people and my clients.

They both have their pros and cons. They work well--easy to use and operate. I don’t have a lot of negative things to say about either of them. I have enjoyed both systems and learned about the nuances of each one. I think it’s important to keep up with technology to say ahead of the curve, as clients like having more than one avenue to communicate with you. Skype is so user friendly and easy to learn, it just has smooth chat and video features and I think most people who can use technology could use this platform easily. Skype seems to be a favorite for some of my clientele, so it’s a good option for my business.

Yes

Did Skype live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Skype go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Skype again?

Yes

I think Skype is best for very basic things that it does well like the chat feature and basic calling. It's good for what I do, which is one-on-one or small groups for coaching. I’ve used it a lot over the years and have seen a lot of improvements to the platform that have made this technology very easy and very accessible for anyone to use at any time. Because it’s so simple, there is nothing that leaves major bottlenecks in the process or stops you from using it. I’ve used it with my coaching clients, my family, and friends all over the world with very few complaints. It’s not great for people who are not good at the computer or have low skills using technology, so probably not great for children either.
