Overall Satisfaction with Slido
Slido is currently being used in many areas of our local business. We have invested in a number of licences to be able to utilise the full range of Slido features but from time to time are able to utilise the free Slido options that are available. The main accounts are used for large company wide presentations at roadshows and quarterly/yearly business updates, whereas the free version can be used to gain engagement at smaller ad-hoc group sessions where feedback and interaction is important and Slido offers an anonymous way of answering polls and asking questions where people may not feel confident speaking up. It also helps others have a visual of poll results and other questions being asked as well as giving them the option to vote for questions they support.
Pros
- Polls - The Slido polls are excellent for gauging the knowledge of your audience.
- Q&A - People can post questions to be answered. These are visible for others to see and can receive votes to push them higher up the priority list of getting answered first. The host can then mark the question as answered once done, so they can move on to the next burning topic.
- Anonymity - Users can post anonymously, giving them confidence to ask questions they may otherwise feel nervous about.
Cons
- Slido can be slow on a web browser and I often find I have to use my mobile to effectively run a presentation.
- The poll feature has been useful for gauging employee understanding to effectively target future training sessions and increase overall performance through education.
- The Q&A segment highlights employees key questions and concerns allowing focus on the areas that matter to people, increasing engagement which can have a positive impact on individual outputs.
