Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
I have been using NPM to monitor my switches specifically between 2 buildings. I rely on it heavily to report any issues with my connectivity across the business.
- I like the ease of setting it up.
- I like the alert capabilities.
- I like the visual component being able to map out the endpoints.
- I have some issues getting it to monitor the new HP 2930M switches.
- I have had some issues with the new switch OIDs.
- I would like to try and have it monitor my wifi network as well.
- I was able to use NPM to ask for and get budget approval to upgrade my switches.
- Being proactive is always cost beneficial.
- Zero downtime is the goal and NPM helps us achieve that goal.
I also use PRTG but NPM performs much better and is better situated to provide the info I need from my switching environment.
