Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

I gave it this rating because I appreciate the HR inquiries I've had to make, at the same time, the guidance on our end has to be tempered with compassion with regard to the employee. I find it's easy to provide a systematic approach with how to deal with an internal situation regarding an employee, however, sometimes the guidance is a bit "cold" and delivery on our end is tempered to insure what is needed (ie. documentation, conversation, etc), since those providing the guidance are not the ones directly interfacing with the "real person".
Sometimes navigating the website to find what I am looking for specifically can be a challenge. I also think there is a great deal offered on the site which I don't use, either due to not understanding how it functions, or it's not a needed tool.
We use TriNet for payroll and HR inquiries. Note, the initial window which shows my secondary business (Interior Design) is not correct as the use of the product. Currently, TriNet is used for the Research and Development company (Akonia Holographics) for which I operate as their finance and office administration manager. Employees use it to see what their PTO balance is, but other than that, I'm not sure they use the website to the extent that I do.
  • Assist me with HR situations.
  • Ease to process payroll and access reports.
  • Ease to review employee statements, PTO balances and the myriad of inquiries I need to review.
  • I have received feedback from the employees that there are long wait times when accessing the Solution Center. There appears to be resistance when it's necessary to contact the dept.
  • The process to understand their health care options seems to be a bit challenging. Given I am a part time employee, I have not used this portion of the website, therefore I am conveying the input from our employees.
  • We may have many of the tools shown on the prior page, however, they are not used.
  • Payroll accuracy works well. It'd be useful to see the status of the PTO bank once the "used hours for the current pay period" are entered.
  • There are sensitive issues around HR compliance. For example, I consistently work more than 30 hours, but less than 40 hours and my immediate supervisor will not allow me to enter myself as a "full time" employee. Given each pay period I enter more than 30 hours per week, it be interesting if TriNet "flagged" an inquiry stating that this is considered "full time".
TriNet came recommended from someone who has used other services.
Others and myself have used other services and are actively contacted to transfer to other payroll/HR services. However, I am familiar with some of them and I feel that although TriNet make not be "perfect" it still outshines its competitors, such as ADP, ZenFits (spelling?), in addition to others of whom I am unable to recall their names have also contacted me.
