Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Trinet is being used across the whole organization. It streamlines our human resource function providing all employees with tools to manage their own time, deliverables, and reviews. Employees are able to submit PTO requests online and get immediate approval, check their pay stubs and adjust any withholding allowances if needed, and managers can look at reports in real time to assess completion of tasks and deliverables.
  • Online PTO calculations and employees can request time off electronically and get a quick response from their respective managers.
  • Performance reviews are also quick to do; everything's online and turn around is fast.
  • Marketing function allows us to take discounts on items we regularly purchase such as supplies and equipment. We save anywhere from 5% to 15% on supplies.
  • Employees can immediately give shout-outs to others.
  • Trinet can provide better training. For the most part, the training was done on the phone with employees following on screen. Some people learn better through in-person interaction.
  • Templates can be more user-friendly. Sometimes its easier to just create our own templates than use what Trinet provides. Creating templates was a time consuming process but once created, it can be used over and over again. Perhaps on one assistance can be given when templates are being developed by clients.
  • It took a while for TriNet to get back to us when we have inquiries - on rare occasions do we get the person we need on the phone. We always seem to be leaving messages and waiting at least an hour or two for someone to get back to us.
I gave this rating because it is very rare we get someone on the phone at that moment when we need to talk to someone. We always seem to be leaving messages and waiting 1 or 2 hours for someone to get back to us.
Trinet is very functional. Outside of template development, everything in Trinet is easy to use.
  • We don't need to have someone at Finance and Admin to function as our HR manager. We use TriNet for that now.
  • We now rely on TriNet to keep track of PTO balances and PTO requests and approvals
  • We have a more efficient recruitment process now and for seasonal staff, keep track of hours logged in.
  • Insperity
Trinet is more cost efficient than Insperity, and more online based.
TriNet is well suited to streamline HR functions where employees get to manage their own HR information such as PTO balances, withholding allowances and retirement fund deductions. All of these can be done online. TrInet is less appropriate when handling employee grievances, this still needs to be managed in-house.
