Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

The support and service we've gotten generally has been good. Though we rarely need help beyond using the web portal (which we like) when we do generally speaking we can get things resolved quickly. Occasionally things happen in our business faster than TriNet can respond in which case an on-site HR person could be a benefit.
Both the portal and access to a dedicated account representative make the services very easy to use. Even selecting and reviewing new benefit offerings each year is made easy through the online portal offering surprising customization and flexibility without needing to do custom deals directly with our representative. The information provided to the staff is also fairly turn-key and good.
We use TriNet across our entire company to provide payroll services, benefits, and other HR outsourcing services. We are a small business, about twelve employees, but as an IT service provider all our people are professionals and have an expectation of receiving benefits in line with their type of position regardless of the size and scale of our company. TriNet allows our firm to provide big company benefits at our relatively small scale.
  • Excellent benefit offerings and packages.
  • Good online portal for management and users.
  • Direct access for management and users to a dedicated account rep.
  • Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
  • We've seen a high turnover in our dedicated account representative leading to a somewhat less than desirable continuity.
  • The reporting can be tough for management.
  • TriNet allows us to offer competitive benefits to incoming employees as well as help with employee retention.
  • I feel TriNet provides another layer to make sure we are on top of our HR compliance.
We became a TriNet customer through their acquisition of Ambrose. I found the Insperity sales people to be pushy and I wasn't confident in their offerings and I had heard not great things about the ADP offering from some colleagues. Overall Ambrose made me feel the most comfortable in t
I would say TriNet is well suited to companies where the high-quality HR/benefits experience is required regardless of cost. For companies where benefits are a competitive advantage for employee acquisition and retention, this is a great option. Also, it can be great for smaller firms wanting big company style HR at a smaller scale.
