Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Manage employee information and payroll. We utilize the onboarding module. We have multiple interfaces with vendor databases and applications. We also utilize Informatica Cloud data and sync our information up with Windows AD. Essentially it is used across the whole organization.

Ease of use.

Ability to customize via labels and platform configuration fields.

Frequent downtimes and connectivity issues.
Customer service is sometimes slow to respond.
Additional jobs are not managed well in the system.

Ease of integration to other systems.
Onboarding time savings and ease of tracking new employee data.

Alternatives Considered

This was an old green screen product we moved away from. The web and back office versions of Ulti are much more friendly. Many business functions can be now self-supported by our team.

Performance

Lately, we have had NUMEROUS connectivity issues with both the system and our reports. We have had I-9 tasks mysteriously disappear one day only to have them magically re-appear the next- and the support team cannot explain why. Pages are at times slow loading and reports will spin and spin, even though in the past they would complete their run time fairly quickly.

Support Rating

While it takes a while to either get a response or closure, the techs are kind and caring. They do all they can to help out. They really research the issue. Sometimes though, we get the answer that something is not working because it was "designed to function that way." but for the most part, support is helpful.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

Calling me back after hours to solve an issue that was critical. Support always takes the time to thoroughly research the issue and explain it in a way that is easy to understand. Even though the answer isn't always what we want to hear, we know why something is functioning a way that it was... as it was 'by design.'

Likelihood to Recommend

We are a healthcare company with two unions. We have been able to leverage UltiPro well for our business needs. The only issue is that we have a number of employees who have more than one job that they clock to. Additional jobs do not behave in the system like they do in our HRIS systems and it can be very problematic.

Despite growth pains that slow the system down, ease of use and great integration features make this a win!
