Use Cases and Deployment Scope

UKG is our HRIS system and payroll system. It has helped us streamline many of the manual processes we have had in the past, has reduced the paper load in Human Resources and has helped us be much more efficient in producing meaningful reports. Implementation was pretty intense, but it was well worth it. Our managers really appreciated the reduced time it takes them to review and approve payroll now that it is all electronic.

Usability

It is easy to use if you do all of the training and work with the Community Feature and the Support Team. Some things are challenging until you learn how all of the connections are made. Overall making changes and updates are simple and easy to do and employees can make some themselves and HR gets notified.

Ease of Integration

It takes a very long time to get on the Integration teams schedule. Not enough people doing this highly technical work it seems like. Once you get through all of the testing it works pretty well all of the time with some glitches here and there.

UKG Personal Experience

Specifically moving our payroll and timekeeping into UKG has been such a time saver for all of our staff, but especially our managers and the person who processes payroll. She has gone from 3-4 days per week to process to 1.5 days per week. She has much more time now to reconcile benefit bills and take care of more things than she ever used to.

Helped us go completely electronic with payroll and timekeeping. Reports for EEOC, ACA, Worker's Comp, tracking overtime are all spectacular. Evaluation module we never did have the time to implement and utilize. Having employees make their own changes to addresses, phone numbers, etc... has been a big timesaver. Integrations with benefit companies is working very well, but it did take a very long time to implement. Support is wonderful.
