Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
We use it to backup all of our 150 user's mailboxes to an on prem server. We are expanding it this year to include the user's One Drive files.
- Once configured, I think it is easy to add and remove mailboxes that are backed.
- Easy to restore individual folders, contacts or calendars .
- Allows for all the backups to be store on-prem to save costs of storing in Azure.
- Some of the menus could be updated and made more intuitive.
- The cost savings were over $2k/month
We had a couple of instances with users deleting or dragging/losing folders in their mailboxes. Along with issues importing/overwriting contacts. When we moved our email to the O365, we knew that we needed a way to restore mailbox folder, contacts and even calendars that Microsoft did not keep past copies of. We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for our network and VMware servers.
yes, we backup on-prem and have restored back to O365.
Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 allows of on-prem backup which saves money. And Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 has options to back up all of the users' email and data.
