Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365

We use Veeam to back up our 365 tenants because B&R was so good. The products are deployed for the whole company.
It was what I consider simple to get set up and going. We had concerns about integrity and retention of 365 SharePoint data, and had used Cisco Umbrella in the past. We were not satisfied with the Cisco offering in this area.
  • Ease of setup.
  • Granular Options.
  • Runs on Windows.
  • The Microsoft part of setup can be tricky.
  • We have not been able to judge this yet.
The options for retention of data in Office have been, and are, lacking. The Veeam representatives were very responsive answering any questions we had regarding this product versus alternatives.
It is .a Veeam product. Ease of use seems to be their 'thing.'
We have not had to recover data from Veeam for 365 yet.
I really like the ability to tell it not to back up certain types of data.
Veeam beats Cisco hands down. The Cisco product was all cloud-based. I found it to be kludgy and slow. The slick interface and ease of use that Veeam offers here led us to make the switch, not only for our company, but also in suggesting Veeam to our customers.
The one time I needed support from Veeam, I had someone to help me within minutes, and my problem was solved within the hour. It was not mission-critical, but nonetheless, I feel they treated it as such.

I do not see any scenario where a 365 tenant using Exchange or Sharepoint should NOT use this product. You cannot trust Microsoft alone with data that can make or break your business.
