Overall Satisfaction with Ventiv Claims

A lot of planning, backup procedures and patience. We planned and held many meetings prior to implementation which were necessary to ensure the migration of our data was successful. We did see some bumps along the way, but the Ventiv support staff did a great job keeping us on track.
Ventiv is the claims application for my Workers' Compensation Joint Powers Authority. We insurer 90 plus school districts and over 43,000 covered employees. In the event one of these covered employees are injured on the job, we administer there workers compensation benefits via Claims Enterprise or IVOS. IVOS is also the claims application for our Liability JPA which has over 140 member school districts.

  • Navigation within claims screens can be difficult at times.

  • Business Rules are very help in structuring and setting into place good claims practices.
The work flow configuration tools have tremendously improved our claims management processes in the area of mail importation and timely assignment to examiner staff. It has also proved to be very help in the processing of medical and non-medical bills with and without nightly interface with my bill review company.

I have had the opportunity to conduct online training, specifically with Ventiv University. I found it very user friendly and informative.

I have not evaluated any other Claims Application in over 12 years.
I feel Ventiv truly understands my industry, CA Workers Compensation. They have a very good compliance department that helps me keep on top of all state requirements. The application itself is pretty user friendly for my examiner staff. The layout is nice as well as the coloring scheme of the screens.

Evaluating Ventiv Claims and Competitors

Yes - Riskmaster. It was very cumbersome and not user friendly. It also did not allow for us to automate certain business process and state reporting.

I probably would include my Network Engineer more in the evaluation the claims application to ensure complete compatibility with our infrastructure.

I am not sure what "premium support" is. I do pay a significant annual support fee to assist with various issues.
Yes - There have been times when the resolution is not timely.
I would have to say in the creation and assistance with a newly customized report, needed for the CA State Annual report, the AR-2 report.
