Overall Satisfaction with Visier
Visier is just planting its roots at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In the last year, we've worked to just bring out data into the Visier environment cleanly, so that it can be used. Currently, Visier is the only piece of technology at JPL where 10 years of staffing, 3 years of performance, and 5 years of recruiting data can be easily accessed. The ability for Visier to deliver this data in its visual style is the icing on the cake.
- User Experience - It's intuitive and cleanly designed
- Security Model - I can drive individual field level security rules very easily
- Mobile Experience - Visier Mobile is fantastic for users to review data and prepared analyses
- Onboarding of data is tough going - It often takes a few tries to get the data into Visier cleanly
- Access to Visier resources is very tightly controlled - often we're waiting for the next developer sprint to load our next batch of data for validation
- JPL is still in deployment, so this seems premature for me to comment on.
Prism is awesome, and JPL did procure Prism recently to supplement our core Workday HCM. However, Prism is not analytics. It can help you GET to analytics (if you're willing and able to build it) because Prism is basically an ETL tool that works specifically with your Workday HCM environment. It will not come with out of the box reporting or predictive analytics. Visier both enables data to be combined AND has analytics on day 1.
