Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We use WatchGuard firewalls across the entire organization for all of our clients as a tool in troubleshooting but also much much more. Their Traffic Monitor tool shows real-time network traffic to help us troubleshoot connectivity, security threats, and do general monitoring. I can search in real-time the logs for username, IP address, ports, or even websites. It also shows allowed, blocked or dropped packets in real-time. No more packet captures! This is just one of their amazing tools built into their Total Security Suite stack. Another great tool for us is DNS Watch which checks DNS queries to block malicious sites and redirects those users to educational videos. DNS Watch solves the problem of users clicking on things they shouldn't and also saves us time on not having to educate the end-users on security best practices. Easy of use and their amazing tech support is the icing on the cake. I can't tell you how many times I get into other firewalls and had to dig and dig to find a setting or re-engineer the wheel to fix something simple. Everything is where it intuitively should be in my humble opinion and also their tech support rocks!

We at Echopath are Gold Partners and implement many WatchGuard products for our clients. I rarely have had to use WatchGuard support for implementations because of their great training materials, support documentation, and ease of use for their products.
Actually, there are 2. Basic and total security suites. They both are good stacks depending on what client and their environment. Some just need basic protection and other clients need more reporting, HIPAA/PCI compliance, DNS filtering, etc. With having 2 options some companies don't want to pay for things they don't need and other companies will pay for the extra security so again just depends on the environment. I will say WatchGuard has made it as simple as it can be to make that choice.
After using ASAs, Sonicwalls, and pfSense; and then also evaluating FortiGates I would have to say that WatchGuard as a nextGen/UTM device with all the services enabled including deep packet inspection is comparatively faster. Also, the ease of use, support, and traffic monitor feature are the biggest reasons I will always choose WatchGuard.
