Webex App: My opinion
Overall Satisfaction with Webex App
Used across the organization although probably more in the consulting/professional services department and it somewhat competes, but in my opinion 'complements' Microsoft Teams (for me anyway). It makes the collaboration experience easier because it does not appear to be as restricted or rather, dependent on Active Directory and group policies. It's easier to copy and paste the content I find. I find the user interface more intuitive.
- Copy and paste content. Whether Word, Excel, Visio, .jpg, .ppt, etc.
- Easy to directly message (add as a contact) outside one's organization.
- Good quality video with HD Camera.
- Easy to create spaces/teams and schedule recurring meetings via Outlook or browser.
- Option to tailor Webex app to more seamless integration with MS Teams app, particularly if PSTN Calling only is required, so the user is (almost) unaware of the fact that there is a Cisco UC Calling infrastructure being used.
- Not be so heavy on CPU when using a virtual background image on Windows 10. I know it's hard, and employers should provide a newer laptop with more ram, but this is not the case for most users.
- PLEASE: Allow a toggle to enable/disable Webex Assistant in the Webex app (either via Settings and/or prior to hosting a Meeting) and not via abcco.webex.com user login portal!
- Reduced telephone tag.
- Reduced voicemail.
- Reduce email.
- Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Webex has better fundamental Security compared to Zoom. I prefer to use Webex app compared to Microsoft Teams as a collaboration tool for my daily tasks because it has better performance and the interface is not so confusing for me.
But I need to use Microsoft Teams because that is how I can easily join meetings hosted by MS Teams.
