Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

I have been a long-standing user of the Webex Meetings platform. During the COVID-19 pandemic and the zoom-bombing incidents, I decided to implement Cisco Webex Meetings as a secure alternative. Within the BPO organization, we used Cisco Webex for internal meetings and to host training sessions both for internal employees, external candidates, and clients. Seeing the Cisco Webex brand automatically raised our reputation at a moment in time in which Zoom and other videoconference platforms were deemed as insecure.
  • Host Internal Meetings at all levels of our organization, from 2 up to 150 users.
  • Host training sessions with external candidates who are in their onboarding process.
  • Host executive meetings with clients/potential clients.
  • The Webex Meetings app needs a UI overhaul, as it looks dated compared to other competitors.
  • It is not uncommon to face issues joining meetings and no matter the amount of troubleshooting, you are stuck in the "joining meeting..." screen.
  • The admin platform could use some polishing in terms of license assignment.
  • We have keep some key clients at ease while using Webex.
  • Webex can be a cost-friendly solution vs. other secure videoconference applications.
  • The Cisco branding helped us connect with some potential clients, raising our reputation.
  • The training experience has improved, making it the center our training strategy.
  • Zoom
Security concerns really drove the decision up to a certain point, however, we are on our 2nd contract terms thanks to the great hardware integrations. Also, having a single application for the entire Webex ecosystem makes things easier for our internal users. I would recommend anyone looking for a good Zoom alternative to give Webex Meetings a chance, as they might be pleasantly surprised.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

Almost perfect availability. However, we do regularly get [complaints] about people being stuck joining meetings. And the admin portal does not provide enough [resources] to really deep dive [into] those issues so as to permanently resolve them. Other than that, I would say that the tools are available when needed.
We have deployed across different departments and the process has been astoundingly easy. As a matter of fact, each department has now a very unique way of using Webex Meetings, which highlights the value of the solution as a whole. Scaling and managing licenses is a breeze. I put it on par with Zoom's admin console.
Webex can be a bit sluggish compared to some web-based competitors (e.g. Google Meet). When trying to present, it might take 10 -15 seconds on a slow connection before you can actually see the content. But as long as you have a reliable connection and [the] hardware is running properly, the delays are practically imperceptible.
Webex Meetings is a great videoconference alternative on scenarios in which Zoom, MS Teams or others are out of the question due to security concerns. Also, the ability to connect to the Cisco Hardware (e.g. Cisco Webex Board 70) can really make Webex Meetings the center of [an] interactive learning session.

Cisco Webex Experience

Real-time transcriptions helped with training and critical meeting scenarios. Having this option has helped us focus time and resources on other important tasks, making this an indirect ROI driver. The automatic noise suppression can be hit-and-miss, but overall, I had a great [experience] using it [in] noisy environments around my office and at home.
We have combined the power of Webex Meetings with the Cisco Webex Boards, and the results are simply amazing. It has pretty much enabled us to come up with new and innovative ways to train our employees. I would absolutely [love] to try additional Cisco hardware to see how it can be integrated [into] their Webex ecosystem.
Security was our number one driver when choosing Webex over other solutions, such as Zoom and MS Teams. You feel at ease knowing that you have full control of your environment, and the admin portal really gives you [an] opportunity to [lock] down [settings], permissions, and other features for specific use-case scenarios.
