Overall Satisfaction with Widen

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) to store and organize all of our assets. This has been hugely important for ensuring up-to-date assets are being used throughout the company. We have assets linked to Modus and our website so when the asset is updated, it reflects through other platforms. This was also a great tool throughout the pandemic as our files used to be stored on a local hard drive which would cause the VPN to crash whenever we tried to access them.

  • Portals have helped improve customer experience by utilizing after events to download presentations and hold photo collages with video recaps and have assets link out from portal to website.
We would like to start thinking about archiving sets of assets. Growing our use with portals to work in sync with our website. Integrate more assets into our site so maintenance is reduced for our web developer. Mainly growing the parts where we already are utilizing the dam and keeping our eyes open for other great ways to utilize it in the future.
Good enough. Tech support is super helpful but customer support mostly seems to deflect to their Acquia DAM (Widen) Connect blog which I have usually already checked before reaching out. Nice to have a point of contact for all sorts of questions.
I mentioned a little bit earlier but we had assets linked to apps and websites that will update once the asset has been replaced or updated. This helps reduce the labor that used to be put in to update one asset in several locations. Having a central hub for videos and assets is integral, especially with large file sizes. This would be virtually impossible without having the DAM.

Acquia DAM (Widen) has been a great tool to keep all of our assets organized for our myriad of divisions. Our sales team can utilize photos and presentation outlines while customer service can access collections to send to customers that are full of additional information on our services. The addition of portals has created another tool to customize our client experience by utilizing Acquia DAM (Widen) as our hub and webbing out to all other areas of the company. It is not always the best choice for sales folks. Modus works better as it Is a simpler format and has a little more in-depth tracking on who sent out files and who opened them.
