Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company uses Acquia DAM (Widen) to host all of our images, marketing materials and content videos. It feeds images to our websites and other internal platforms that we use in the organization. It's a resource for our sales team, creative team and other external partners to access all of the content we have in one place.

When you are searching and you need to go back it doesn't always bring you back to the page you were before, but to the overall view and that can be frustrating.
The "selection" tool is confusing- I will select images and when I download it will have images from a past selection. I wish there was a way to organize this better.
When I choose to download and it says it will email the images to me I get an email that sends me back to the page to press download. Why can't I just do that from the get-go?

Return on Investment

Having a central place for all assets to live has impacted the business positively, saving time and creating a streamlined process for accessing assets.
This has been a great resource for being able to push images through to other platforms. Having that control is important to our Marketing Team.
Being able to send external people links of images is helpful so that they aren't digging around themselves.

Support Rating

I haven't had to work with the Acquia DAM (Widen) support team. Our creative agency manages the platform, so they may have feedback on this topic. My usage is to provide my team with the images, metadata and they then add these to the DAM. I really use it to pull images.

DAM System Solution

We are able to use the DAM to push images through on different platforms based on rules that are set. It's important because of the consistency that it provides for the company- we don't have someone just choosing what they want to use, and it's not someone's responsibility. I like that we can set up a process and then it's automated.

It's a great hub to house all assets so that you can point people to them when they request them, rather than having to send them yourself. It could be better with the way that you can organize things, and the searchability could be improved. When you search alot of items come up.
