Overall Satisfaction with Wix
I used Wix as the CMS for a nonprofit organization who retained me to build an inexpensive website for their organization. The purpose was to get the word out about a product being marketed by the organization that would raise awareness and money for shelter animals.
- Wix has an easy to use drag and drop design interface.
- Wix is an inexpensive option.
- Wix provides user manuals and an easy to navigate help section.
- Wix's drag and drop feature needs some work. You can drag something over, but it doesn't drop easily and can overlap other sections.
- There are so many options that a beginner could get easily confused.
- The backend is messy and difficult to navigate.
- Reduced cost is a definite plus as this is an inexpensive option.
- The site is easy to navigate once it is built, cutting down on time.
- WordPress and Squarespace
Wix does not hold a candle to WP or Squarespace. We selected Wix because it was the cheapest option, and when working with nonprofits, cheap wins.
